Cutting tax will increase government revenue
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Conservative leaders have not said they are going to reduce revenues. They are going to increase revenues by cutting taxes.
President John Kennedy's words concerning tax cuts are important in this discussion. (Quotes can be found at www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39517).
President Kennedy said in 1963, “In short, it is a paradoxical truth that ... the soundest way to raise the revenues in the long run is to cut the rates now.” Also, “A tax cut means higher family income and higher business profits and a balanced federal budget. Every taxpayer and his family will have more money left over after taxes for a new car, a new home, new conveniences, education and investment. Every businessman can keep a higher percentage of his profits in his cash register or put it to work expanding or improving his business, and as the national income grows, the federal government will ultimately end up with more revenues.”
Kennedy's words are still true today. Progressives seem not to be interested in what works and they have forgotten the past. Please vote for any progressive (or anyone) who advocates tax cuts. Revenue to the government will increase.
