Cuts to family planning will cost more later on

I think the House Republicans need to pause and think about their proposed cuts to family planning. There are no real savings in this proposal. Every $1 invested in family planning saves the state $4 on the costs of unintended pregnancies. By this math, cutting family planning dollars will cost Iowa
$1.5 million in the first year alone, with more in years to come.
Saving the state money and reducing the number of unintended pregnancies is a win situation for everyone.
