Criminal act disrupts life
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Dec. 9, 2012 11:49 am
This is to the person(s) who stole my purse: I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving on my dollar that you used fraudulently on more than one of my credit cards. You even tried to rent a DVD. Really? What thugs are us? I take comfort in your criminal acts that robbed me of having Thanksgiving dinner with my family, instead spending the entire day on the phone trying to stop you and your cowardly ways.
You also stole a tote that had sentimental value and also contained a letter from a local 9-year-old girl who I am trying to correspond with in a pen pal program at my job. You know, to do something nice for someone? You wouldn't know about nice, though. What was I thinking?
You would rather live your life ruining other people's lives because apparently that's easier. I have friends and family who care about me and will help me get through this river of muck. This too shall pass, I will make it through this and can still look in the mirror and know I have lived an honest life.
