CR traffic cameras are a cash cow

To the editor:
Cedar Rapids couldn't get a casino the normal way so now they have area legislators in Des Moines trying to pass a bill to create one for the city. It dawned on me why the city officials are pushing the casino so much. Just think of the extra traffic that it would bring and all the money the cash cows, otherwise known as cameras, would give the City Council to play with in the downtown area.
But, if the legislature would also ban the cameras this term, I wonder if the council would be so intent on bringing the casino here. As for me, whether they have one or not, I prefer to do my gambling at home using my computer and the Internet.
