CR Schools bond is not in best interest of students

I have read articles related to the CRSD master plan requiring a $312 million dollar bond issue that, if passed, will result in a property tax increase for this fixed income household. One would think I would reject the plan for that reason alone. But that is not necessarily true. I simply am not convinced this scheme is in the best interest of CRSD students. I find the concept that new classrooms are better learning environment than old classrooms ridiculous. Suggesting fewer larger buildings and housing larger populations of students does not instill confidence that this change will increase student performance. It will result in the increased number hours bussing more students to fewer schools each day. Riding a bus is not exactly conducive learning environment.
What is needed is to inspire a desire and purpose for learning and a craving to achieve. To accomplish a positive learning environment requires energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate instructors. It requires instructors to be well paid, retained, and be given the ability to stimulate pupils rather than conform to rigid educational plan or system. More instructors inspiring as well a teaching smaller classes.
Build what is truly needed to improve student’s success, instead a lining architect and contractors' pockets and it would be a proposal worth voting for.
