CR officials have double standards

To the editor:
I see the leaders of Cedar Rapids are going to court to fight the Iowa Department of Transportation ('City heads to court to keep speed cameras,” June 10).
The driving public (local and visitors) must follow the rules of the road on our highways. Why does the local government feel they are above the law and the rules of the road? The only reason I come up with is the cameras are one big cash cow.
