CR is a great place to call home

To the editor:

Cedar Rapids is a great city, and since 1970, our family has called it home. Our four daughters went through school here, and now our grandchildren are doing the same. We want to continue to be proud of our city.

There must be a number of creative men and women who could come up with a plan for family-friendly activities at the site now known as 'the casino land.” Perhaps this would include, but not be limited to, a water park and even a year-round activity center that would encourage a positive influence on a great many people, visitors as well as local residents.

Let's not settle for less than the very best for our citizens and continue to make Cedar Rapids a place we can be proud to call home.
