Coverage of Jefferson basketball disappoints

Mar. 4, 2012 11:01 pm
I am a Jefferson High School fan, but not a boys' basketball parent, and I am greatly disappointed in the media coverage the boys have received during their season and their incredible run to the state tournament. Other schools get TV coverage; sometimes our scores are not even mentioned. Other schools get page 1 coverage with multiple photos; we get a story on page 2 with no pictures even after an incredible overtime win against a highly-ranked team. And unfortunately this lack of coverage is nothing new for Jefferson.
On Wednesday, Jefferson will play the number one seed, and people will doubt, but Jefferson fans will believe. Step up, media, and give Jefferson the coverage it deserves because Jefferson fans will be there with our chant - I believe that we will win! I believe that we will win! Go J-Hawks!
