Council member supports water park

To the editor:

I fully support Cedar Bayou Park, a water park and aquatic campus. This venture will make Cedar Rapids a cornerstone tourist destination in Eastern Iowa. It will boost our local economy as well as provide a much needed recreational facility in southwest Cedar Rapids.

By utilizing solar power, energy efficient equipment and water recycling, this venue will support our city's Blue Zones and green visions. Additionally, this campus will create new jobs and provide incentives for new businesses to come to our area as well as promoting a 'stay in CR” attitude for individuals with families in our area.
