Cougars belong in open country

About the cougar shot in Iowa: One letter writer stated that the cougar was just sitting on a limb, minding his own business. He was actually up there to pounce on whatever came by. If the hunter had walked under the tree, he would have had a broken neck and been killed.
It's just a matter of time until a little child is mauled and eaten by one of these efficient killers. Cougars belong in the big country of the Rocky Mountains, not here in the populated Midwest.
