Cost of health care, not quality, needs reform

The debate about health care reform is not about reforming health care. We have the best health care in the world, even though, as with anything, improvements could be made.
Rather, the issue is the cost and financing of health care. In addressing this issue, the danger is that the care portion of health care will come under government control. In that case, I fear we won't be reforming health care but deforming health care.
Canadians must be praying that this doesn't happen as many with serious and urgent health care needs come to the United States for treatment. If socialized, U.S. health care would be in danger of developing the problems experienced in the Canadian and U.K. socialized systems.
Let us reform what needs reforming and not socialize the whole system.
