Cortez well-rounded and trustworthy

I would like to endorse Carl Cortez for the city council at-large seat in Tuesday's election.
As a native of Cedar Rapids, I can think of no other person to represent the citizens of Cedar Rapids better than Carl. He and I were classmates in junior high and high school and remain friends. Carl is a veteran and has been very active in the Cedar Rapids community all of his life, including youth activities. He would bring a well-rounded outlook, rooted deeply in Cedar Rapids, to the council table.
Carl has a no-nonsense approach to issues and is known to his friends for his hard work and dedication. He has strong family values and lots of good old common sense.
I would trust Carl to wisely spend my hard-earned tax dollars. The citizens of Cedar Rapids would be well served if they elect Carl to the council.
