Corbett makes right choices over politics

Recently I noticed that Brian Fagan has begun referring to Ron Corbett as a professional politician. Perhaps Mr. Fagan should hire an out-of-state consultant (a really expensive one) to do more accurate research on his opponent.
Mr. Corbett has been out of politics since 1999. At that time, he stepped down from his position as Speaker of the House, the fourth-highest position in Iowa politics. Those of us whom he represented were sorry to see him leave the Legislature but we certainly respected his reason why. He took a job in Cedar Rapids in order to spend more time with his young, growing family. That doesn't seem like something a “professional politician” would do.
