Cedar Rapids, we are lucky to have a candidate for mayor of Cedar Rapids who I know will work to move our city forward: Ron Corbett.

Ron is the only candidate for mayor with a vision and the skill set to implement it. Ron's experience as Speaker of the Iowa House, president of the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and in private business makes him uniquely qualified to tackle the many challenges this city currently faces.

Ron will bring this community together regardless of political party, background or neighborhood. I have seen first hand how he can work toward the common goal and produce real results while working as a legislative clerk in the Iowa House of Representatives.

Ron is someone you can trust to make fiscally responsible decisions for us. He knows we can't continue to increase taxes and hope to grow our economy and local businesses. As Speaker of the House, he proved that you can increase government revenue by cutting taxes.

And as a husband and father of five children, Ron will work tirelessly to keep our neighborhoods safe and support our public safety needs.
