Cooper ready to make impact for now, future

The decisions made by the Iowa City school board in the next few years will have a long-term impact on the entire community. I am endorsing Mike Cooper as a candidate who can make a significant contribution to the board and the community.
Mike will thoroughly consider the issues, including financial analyses, and he can implement a plan for the decision-making process and changes. Mike has over 38 years of experience in the education business that will serve the board well.
Mike has demonstrated that he will ask difficult questions. He considers the big picture and the long-term impact of decisions. Mike supports opening the third high school, he proposes establishing a well-planned vision to take the district into the future, and he prefers a single K-12 redistricting. Mike is interested in collaborating with the community as the board considers the issues and strives for solutions. Mike is concerned about financial stability while offering the best education possible for all of our students.
Mike Cooper has proved himself as a successful board member. We can use Mike's experience to help make the difficult decisions in the next four years.
