Cook’s experience good for Iowa City schools

With the recent financial concerns, I think that new blood on the Iowa City school board would be for the betterment of the district. We are fortunate to have so many qualified candidates to choose from.
Within that candidate pool is Karla Cook. I have the utmost respect for her and belief in her ability to be a leader in our community. Both of my children (now in their 30s) had Cook for math at City High. Despite being very different students, Cook held them each to a high standard and accountable for their actions, both in and out of the classroom. She was strict, yet always fair.
I believe these attributes will allow her to be a successful member of our school board.
