Continuing tax cuts helps small business

I just have to respond to a Dec. 14 letter from Sue Dvorsky about how all of our problems are due to Sen. Chuck Grassley and the Republicans. Math must not have been one of her best subjects because for the last two years the number of votes that the Democrats had allowed them to pass anything they wanted to and the Republicans could not stop any of it - the Dems had filibuster-proof majorities.
Then she says “our economic recovery was also put at risk” - what economic recovery? Surely Sue knows that most of the new jobs will come from small businesses and they are the ones that would get hurt the most by raising the tax rates on those above $250,000. Personally, I would not be against raising the taxes upon folks that take a straight salary of more than $250,000 but we would have to change the current tax laws so as to exempt small business. Continuing the Bush tax cuts to the upper bracket helps small business and maybe gets us into an economic recovery in the future.
I find it interesting that the Dems lately have been saying the Bush tax cuts, if they had been allowed to expire, would hurt middle income people whereas for the last eight years they have told us they only helped the rich. Just another lie, I guess.
