Continue improvements to Cedar Lake

I support the push to enhance Cedar Lake and the surrounding area. I think of the possibilities when I enjoy other urban lakes such as Lake Mendota in Madison, Wis. Although our lake is much smaller, it could be a big-time attraction for our community with not much of an investment.
Wouldn't it be great to see families picnicking along the shore, kids enjoying a nearby playground and paddlers on the water? Can you imagine the favorable impression this would make for our community on the thousands of commuters who pass by it on the interstate?
Don't be satisfied with the improvements we've already made. Let's make Cedar Lake into something we can be proud of.
