Don’t downplay the devastating effects Project 2025 would have on our country. Just look at what has happened to the government in Hungary after Victor Orban became prime minister in 2010. He implemented similar policies which gave him unlimited power, resulting in control of the courts, the media, education, etc. These policies even suppress political opponents by limiting their funding and media exposure.
Our democracy exists because it has checks and balances to prevent any one branch from becoming too powerful. The implementation of the policies set forth in Project 2025 would upset this balance of power. The Heritage Foundation and 140 officials in the former Trump administration didn’t spend years writing this 900-page playbook for nothing.
Donald Trump has praised Orban, a Putin ally, as a great leader. Trump then told Christians to vote for him in November, that we will fix this, and you will never have to vote again, with no explanation. When Trump was asked by a journalist whether he would be a dictator, he said, “Maybe for a day.” That says it all right there.
I don’t think it is too difficult to connect the dots on what Trump’s intentions would be if reelected. He loves the idea of being a dictator and would shred our form of government by implementing the policies in Project 2025. Vote for democracy on November 5. Your freedoms and liberties depend on it!
