The United States has become an embarrassment on the world stage. As a country we have lost much of the credibility we had from years of mutual cooperation, respect and support. For some inane reason this administration finds it necessary to insult, berate and belittle our long time friends and allies. Threats and actions on sovereign nations and even our allies.
The world also watches as this administration turns on its own institutions and norms. The “Justice Department” has become a tool of revenge on perceived enemies, investigating anyone who dares to question or pursue less than legal or ethical people within the administration.
The president has used pseudo military force in several U.S. cities. Recently these ICE forces have been involved in many injuries and at least two deaths. Regardless of how you interpret the record of the events no one should have died. The number of shots fired in both incidents were excessive and can’t be considered necessary given the circumstance. We need our congressional representatives to step up and stop this overt power grab and bring sanity back to our nation.
