Congress fits definition of Ponzi scheme
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 19, 2010 11:45 pm
The Gazette's Dec. 29 definition of a Ponzi scheme: “A constant infusion of new investors (taxpayers) to furnish the cash (re-election) for the scammer (bill sponsor)” certainly fits our Congress of today. Actually it is ever worse, the new investors (taxpayers) don't even have the choice of buying in.
I would suggest that our Caribbean carpetbagger, Sen. Tom Harkin, is certainly the Madoff of the Iowa delegation.
