Congrats to all involved with Freedom Festival

Congratulations and thanks to all the planners, workers and sponsors of the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival. It was terrific, and from what I heard and witnessed attendance was at a record level. What a great community! Next year, perhaps, we can enjoy the fireworks from a new riverside amphitheater.
Now, let's get on with a renewed effort to provide flood protection that includes our west side families and businesses.
