Comments on Clinton draw a rebuttal

Clearly Jonah Goldberg, writer of the Aug. 5 derogatory column, “Hillary Clinton just isn't all that interesting,” must never have conversed with her. If he had, he would have found this multitalented woman “fascinating.”
I can immediately think of something she said in a speech, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Many disagreed with her view, but her book (on that subject) was read and quoted.
As a lawyer, her role was to earn enough at the Rose law firm in Arkansas to support her husband, Bill, so he could devote his time to politics, rather than join a prominent law firm in Washington or New York to which her law school grades would open to her.
She should be considered a rock star to run for president. Using the disparaging term “wonk” for her sound knowledge of government and politics undervalues it.
One of the reasons her tenure as secretary of state was viewed as successful was because of worldwide traveling she did as first lady. She already had intimate acquaintances with many of the world's leaders.
Of course, the Democrats who helped finance her run for president will finance her if she runs again. She made a good showing in 2012.
