Coalition supports four Linn-Mar board candidates

We are writing on behalf of the Linn-Mar Coalition for Public Schools, a volunteer, grassroots organization of families and neighbors in the Linn-Mar Community School District. We are pleased to endorse these candidates for the four open positions on the Linn-Mar School Board: Barry Buchholz, Justin Foss, Katie Lowe Lancaster, and Brittania Morey.

We invite you to meet these candidates in-person at the Marion Public Library from 2-4 pm on August 19.

The upcoming election is critically important to continuing our decadeslong tradition of excellence at Linn-Mar. Members of our coalition have joined to ensure we have school board candidates who share our commitment to provide all children in our district with a quality and equitable education. Our school board must attract, trust, and retain teachers, administrators, and staff by providing appreciation, support, and the resources to carry out their professional responsibilities. A strong school board and successful students help ensure we are a desirable community for residents and for growing businesses. We endorse these candidates because they support our commitment to smart budgets, excellence in curriculum, problem solving, and safe environments that protect and respect all students and staff.
