Co-op has potential in Cedar Rapids

I don't suppose that pledging to do the majority of my family's grocery shopping at New Pioneer Food Co-op, should they choose to expand north, will seal the deal, but I hope that the decision-makers are giving strong consideration to the growth potential of a store in Cedar Rapids or Marion.
The Cedar Rapids area is a growing community with flourishing families and a strengthening economy. Attendance at the Downtown Farmers Market, the weekly farmers markets put on by the local municipalities, and the success of the NewBo City Market indicate that we are seeking healthy options and that our area is ripe for a natural foods store that is big enough and has enough variety that patrons can find most items on their grocery list with one stop.
As a member of the co-op, I am only able to shop there when I have the opportunity to be in the Coralville or Iowa City area, and even then, I often have multiple stops and don't want to leave my groceries in the car for an extended amount of time. I know many other Cedar Rapidians who feel the same.
Expanding to Cedar Rapids will ensure that North Corridor members will increase their shopping with NewPi and the membership will quickly grow as others see the benefits.
