Climate change is a serious problem

Climate change is a political issue only because the Republicans made it so. Otherwise, with all the tumult we've been experiencing, there would be as much earnest discussion of global warming as we now have about the 'Russia Hoax.”
Look at the extreme weather - the fires, floods, hurricanes, storms, heat waves and tornadoes - which we always have had, but not like this. Now they start sooner, last longer and erupt in more places.
Most dramatically, the polar ice caps have melted faster in last 20 years than in the last 10,000. The South Pole is breaking up at a record pace. The continent lost almost 3 trillion tons of ice between 1992 and 2017, almost half within the last five years.
It's time for President Donald Trump and other climate change deniers to take off their partisan glasses and begin to address this serious issue. Politically, it's one thing; in real life, it's a serious problem.
