Clemens is beholden only to Iowans

Every campaigning season candidates file paperwork, hang their shingle and wait for donations to pour in. They knock doors, attend public gatherings, forums and debates. They eat pie in diners and talk to constituents who air grievances about local and national issues. An ever-growing chorus of voices arises in the ears of these candidates: 'My husband lost his job…”, 'My child was born with a disability…”, 'I work three jobs and can't afford health care…”.

Many candidates accept large donations from corporations, super PACs or special interest groups; adding much louder voices to the chorus. Voices of corporate donors drown out those of individual voters; and what do you suppose those large donors want? Better education for Iowa's children? More mental health care facilities? Campaign finance reform? No.

Here's the good news: Jodi Clemens is running for the Iowa House and has not accepted one dime from any corporation, super PAC or special interest group.
