‘Clean’ only succeeds when propped up by federal dollars

On Saturday Oct. 26 The Gazette had an editorial on how the clean energy sector was providing many new jobs. That may well be true as the Inflation Reduction Act is throwing money at any and all "clean" projects.
When all these projects are completed and the start up money is gone, what are the jobs then?
We have an example in town, Kirkwood Community College. They jumped early into the wind power phase, put up a turbine and made a class to train for new jobs in wind energy. 10 years later, the turbine does not work, the manufacturer is bankrupt and there were no jobs in the wind business so they dropped the class.
10 years from now the huge solar farm at Palo will need new panels. They are not recyclable. Who gets the bill for new panels, installation and disposal since the federal money will be gone?
Winter is coming with many days ahead of cold, calm, cloudy days and nights. The only real hope is they can wade thru the paper work to recommission the D.A. nuclear plant but since it's federal government and the nuclear regulatory commission and I'm 75, I'll never see it running again.
