Clean Line, C.R. casino would be good decisions

I write in disbelief of some of the things I read.
First, some oil company put a large pipeline near my dad's farm in central Kansas in 1937. Today, that pipeline still is flowing and hasn't ruined any farm ground.
Second, on that same farm, we had straw stack bottoms each year from shocking thrashing that covered more farm ground than any one derrick from the (proposed) Rock Island Clean Line would. We need that line to disperse and sell the electricity we can generate in Iowa.
Third, we have visited Dan Kehl's Riverside Casino probably 12 times. We broke even a couple of times and the rest of the time Kehl cannibalized our money. Since 2008, our ambitious Mayor Ron Corbett and his City Council have done a beautiful job of putting our beautiful city back together. A casino would be the last piece of the puzzle.
Let's hope the state gaming commissioners will have their thinking caps on straight.
