The Gazette offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced.
Who are six people who could have kept taxpayer money out of ill conceived projects? The Iowa congressional delegation can claw back our misplaced tax dollars.
United States taxpayers are funders of a contract signed with a company in El Salvador to detain immigrants taken from U.S. cities. I am curious to see the words in the contract clauses that govern treatment of detainees. Our tax dollars fund this project.
There is a used airplane that requires equipment and enhancements to meet presidential standards. The bill is in the mail to all taxpayers. That includes me — you — all of us. Hanger rent and fuel could be our financial burden for decades.
We paid for a wrecking ball and debris removal. There is a gold encrusted ballroom project that will be our tax burden. Iowans must stand against projects that were entered into in our name. In Washington, we have a six person delegation we elected to act for us in such matters.
May our congressional delegation claw back Iowan’s tax dollars that have been misplaced on projects outside of our control.
