Citizens United not good for country

To the editor:
Our country needs a new direction. The Supreme Court is one of our major problems. One man or woman can make a big difference in passing laws at the court.
A great mistake was Citizens United which has opened the flood gates of unlimited spending in the election process. It has lead to the very rich buying up our elected officials. It has created a great partisanship in getting any laws passed, creating a great distrust in our government. They are extremely overpaid with taxpayers not getting any help. The middle class and poor have lost with lower living standards.
It is time for our country to get out and vote to help bring change to our elections and to get new laws passed where the Supreme Court and the very rich are not in control.
