To the editor:
Our economy has been at a snail's pace and our depleted military strength has compromised our national security. President Barack Obama's foreign policy approach has allowed China, Russia and North Korea to be confrontational at the expense of our allies like Israel, in Europe and Asia.
The next president having first hand knowledge with Islamic terrorists is a plus. Advantage Gov. Chris Christie, because as U.S. Attorney he prosecuted terrorists post 9/11, and has a better handle on how they plot, plan and execute their evil.
Gov. Christie talks strong because he is a strong, proven and battle-tested executive type in the spirit of Ronald Reagan or Teddy Roosevelt. Pundits have pointed out how Obama's lack of executive experience has hampered his effectiveness, this is the reason I am steering away from Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul.
The Republican presidential nominee must not alienate voters in order to win the presidency and keep a Republican House and Senate. Otherwise, Supreme Court justices, Federal judges, ambassadors plus our domestic and foreign policy agendas will be at the mercy of Hillary Clinton. Again, advantage Gov. Christie, whose national favorable ratings have greatly increased.
Gov. Christie has executed real pro middle class job growth, with Democratic controlled chambers, more of a disadvantage than Jeb Bush and John Kasich, who worked with Republican-dominant legislatures. Additionally, Gov. Christie knows it is vital to rebuild our military for national security and foreign policy interests. And he views all lives as precious.
