To the editor:
Cedar Sound Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, would like to thank Jim Brickman for inviting us to sing with his ensemble on New Year's Eve at the Paramount Theatre. What a thrill it was to be on stage with him and celebrating the season with his music.
Brickman, a well-known pianist and songwriter, has a practice of inviting local music groups to appear with him as he tours from city to city. He was most gracious in rehearsing with us and even asked us to sing something from our repertoire of barbershop harmony. We are grateful that we were chosen to represent the Cedar Rapids area. Learn more about us at cedarsoundssingers.org.
We are always looking for new members and we perform for clubs, businesses and other venues. If you would like to take part in an experience such as the Brickman concert, contact us through the above website.
