‘Chicago’ was superb production

To the editor:
Recently, a gentleman wrote a letter of concern regarding Xavier High School planning to present the musical 'Chicago” ('‘Chicago the Musical' not best selection,” Nov. 12).
I must admit I agreed with him at that time. I couldn't imagine how they were going to pull this one off. That is because I had seen the movie. Hollywood always glamorizes, intensifies and distorts sex and violence. Xavier presented the play as it was intended, a farce; a satire on Chicago crimes of the era. No more concerns here. I thoroughly enjoyed their superb production and the outstanding talents of all the students involved. Xavier students and teachers truly have their act together.
