Cherry Building, it’s good to have you back

Several members of our extended family attended the open house at the Cherry Building in Cedar Rapids on Dec. 5. A member of our family, Aaron Barnard has a musical instrument repair shop on the second floor of this building. What a wonderful building.
The restoration is splendid. Aaron's shop is fantastic.
I lived and worked in downtown Cedar Rapids for many years before moving to Oelwein five years ago. I have seen the devastation caused by the flood and thought that the city would never come back to being the thriving city as I knew it.
If the Cherry Building is an example of the future on Cedar Rapids, it will once again be the bright metropolis of Eastern Iowa.
