Cheers for saving Louis Sullivan bank building

Three cheers for Fred Timko! Probably the most iconic of all buildings in Cedar Rapids will be saved if his plans develop to bring a fine restaurant into the historic Louis Sullivan bank building (formerly Peoples Savings Bank and recently Wells Fargo Bank).
The bank building was designed by one of America's foremost architects, Louis Sullivan. His works included such masterpieces as the former Carson Pirie Scott department store in Chicago, the Chicago Auditorium (now Roosevelt University), the “jewel box” bank in Grinnell and St. Paul's Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.
As an architect who is very interested in historic preservation, I strongly endorse this idea. Let's get behind this project!
