Character must come first in picking a president

I was a Republican for more than 30 years. I was shocked when Donald Trump became the party nominee in 2016. I no longer belong to the party because of its choice for president and the unwillingness to say that many of his actions are inappropriate.

Character has to come first. His behavior is not acceptable. Insulting everyone he disagrees with, firing competent federal employees and taking a joy ride when infected with COVID-19 are clearly wrong. If you are undecided in this election then look honestly at Trump's behavior. He has increased the division of the country and will continue to do so based on fear and misinformation. It is wrong to put party affiliation above common sense.

If you are conservative in some or all of your views there are many ways you can support your beliefs in constructive ways. Voting for Trump is not constructive or reasonable.
