Changing parties to vote for Ron Paul, peace
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 1, 2012 11:56 pm
I never thought I would trade my Democrat party registration for a GOP party card, but I did last week.
President Obama has not had an easy term, but he promised to close Guantanamo and advance world peace. Yet, we have Afghanistan, Libya and possibly any day Egypt and Persia and bases in Australia affronting China and trade oil disputes with Russia. Obama is not the prince of peace.
Why did he sign continuance of the Patriot Act? And this new legislation discarding habeas corpus and imprisoning “suspects” indefinitely, without bail or legal counsel. Not constitutional.
Ron Paul has a consistent 40-year peaceful, non-aggressive policy. He may not be perfect, but he is the only peace candidate. Change your party affiliation and caucus Tuesday for Congressman Ron Paul.
