Cedar Rapids streets are a mess

To the editor:
What is Cedar Rapids doing to our city? Changing all these one-ways to two-ways is a nightmare and in my opinion ridiculous. 'It's worked for 100 years, so let's change it.”
We'll be lucky if someone isn't killed in this mess. Now the costs of Green Square and the flood wall have increased by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Why are the bidders not held to what they bid? It's sad to see Green Square go through this transformation in the first place. Didn't the city know about these underlying issues beforehand (they should have)?
Downtown will never be what it was back in the day. Those days are gone. If you ask me, our leaders are leading us in a mixed up mess of direction. I hear all the time how screwed up this city is, they tax us to death, the roads are a nightmare. Wake up, city leaders!
