Cats waiting for you to give them good home

I'm writing to encourage animal appreciators to step up to the plate and give thought to rescuing a cat or dog from Cedar Rapids Animal Control. They're moving to Kirkwood Community College soon where hopefully there will be perhaps more cages available to accommodate all homeless cats and dogs, eliminating the necessity of needlessly euthanizing healthy animals.
I hope the reason they're moving to Kirkwood is not to conveniently supply college anatomy and biology classes with specimens.
Who are the powers that be who will decide the fate of these animals? Will it be a cooperative effort of people truly interested in the positive welfare of our future pets? I hope so.
A dozen or more cats have been there all summer. ... Are there so few compassionate people around?
Save any of the 88 kitties waiting.
I understand the fee is reduced for part of September.
