Cat killer deserves harshest punishment
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 25, 2012 12:19 pm
The cruel person who decapitated the cat (Gazette, Aug. 10) was also probably pulling the wings off butterflies at age 5, at 10 was no doubt the schoolyard bully, at 15 probably had his nose deep into pornography, and at 25 he will someday walk into an orphanage, school or movie theater and, with guns blazing, slime his way into history.
It is the hope of many in this community, I'm sure, that the police will catch this person, and soon. It is also our hope that the sentencing judge will not ponder the “many injustices this poor boy has suffered through his life” and then send him to a “highly accredited psychiatrist.”
No slap on the wrist this time, your honor.
If the above words won't help readers feel sorry for the cat or to pray for its owner, then there are also some words you will fail to understand until it is too late: The Ten Commandments and “vengeance is mine, says the Lord.”
