Cars without license plates pose questions and potential problems

I must ask myself, why do I bother registering my vehicle and getting license plates? It must no longer be a requirement as there are so many vehicles driving around this city that have no license plates.
And if they do not have plates and are not registered then they must not be insured as well. As I am sure that to get car insurance a vehicle must be registered. So, then you must ask yourself if the vehicle is not registered and has no insurance – why? Does the driver not have any license, or has it been suspended as well?
So, if I get in an accident and get hit by one of these vehicles that isn’t registered, has no insurance and the driver has no valid driver license, will this cost me an increase in my car insurance? I am sure it will. And what happens to the other driver and vehicle? They get a slap on the wrist and turn around and continue this way of handling a vehicle.
