This is the story of a kindness. Our mail carrier, Deb Nunemake, recently took time from her route on a hot afternoon to help an elderly gentleman who was lost. We happened to be leaving when she was delivering our mail, and she said, 'I have a huge favor to ask of you. Would it be possible for you to take a gentleman who is lost to his home? ... He is confused, and I hate to leave him.”
We told her we would be happy to do so. My son drove up the street to where Nunemake had told the man to wait and we picked him up and saw him safely home. The next day we received a thank you note from Nunemake, expressing her gratitude for our help. What a wonderful world it would be if there were more caring people such as her.
