Cargill should change its rail yard plan

Cargill needs to look for a new site for their rail yard. The company should not revisit the Stewart Road location. While this location is marginally better for the Otis Road/Rompot community, all of the objections to the Otis Road location still apply to this location. Loss of property value, pollution, noise, destruction of recreational space, etc.) For example, the Otis Road location is one-half mile from my home and the Stewart Road location is two-thirds of a mile from my home. Hardly a significant change in distance.
I believe there will be still be fierce opposition to any return to the Stewart Road location. I know that I will oppose a return to that site.
I think that Cargill should put the rail yard on the property where their plant sits. That seems to me to be the most obvious place to put it. In any event, Cargill needs to stop trying to put this monstrosity in our neighborhood.
