Can’t compare hate groups to gays

Regarding Glenn Chatfield's March 23 letter, “Tolerance must go both ways,” about businesses being expected to provide products or services for events they find “offensive”: I find the argument to be horribly flawed.
Chatfield compared Christians providing services for same-sex weddings to blacks providing services for Ku Klux Klan events or homosexuals providing services for Westboro Baptist Church events (Fred Phelps' family church). The Ku Klux Klan and Westboro Church have been known to stand for hate and have directed much of their hatred toward blacks and homosexuals, respectively.
No matter what anyone's opinion is on businesses being legally expected to provide services to everyone, it's an illogical argument to make a comparison between those hate groups and gays.
