Candidates seek your vote on Tuesday

We have a very important election on Tuesday. One that effects all of us in our community. You need to vote in this election. We have to select two at-large candidates who will make decisions for our families and the City of Cedar Rapids, hopefully in a very positive, unselfish way.
After serving this community with pride and thanking all of you who gave me that opportunity, I feel it is important that we have citizens involved, which means not just as voters, but as leaders. I believe term limits are important; that is why I chose to do this for only four years. We need new blood in every election to bring new ideas and energy to our city. It is our duty to give back to our community in a good, honest way that lays the groundwork for our city now and 25 years from now.
We have three very good candidates in Ralph Russell, Susie Weinacht and Carletta Knox-Seymour out of the four who are wanting my and Chuck Swore's at-large City Council seats. If you love this city as I have and care about your future and your children's future, you need to vote for two of these three new candidates.
