Campaigns missing relevant issues

How many readers have been following the campaign for the soon-to-be-open Senate seat? Have you been appalled by the amount of advertising money that is being spent? I, for one, am.

I am especially shocked, however, by the irrelevant issues that are being discussed.

Why is there so much outrage from Joni Ernst's campaign regarding Rep.Bruce Braley's comments about Sen. Chuck Grassley being a farmer? Was that statement correct? Is Ernst embarrassed by the fact that Grassley is, in fact, a farmer as well as a senator? Strange how that has become one of her biggest issues in this campaign.

I am looking forward to some debates between these two candidates. As long as Ernst focuses on the issues and not the castration part of her life, I think Braley will be just fine.
