Cable barriers on roads cause worse accidents

Two years ago, I was eastbound on I-80 by West Branch when my company van hit some black ice, went sideways, rolled and ended up on its top in the median. The van was totaled and I was injured, but I was the only one involved in the accident.
If there had been cable barriers there, my van would have stayed in the line of oncoming traffic and it would have caused a big chain reaction accident and been a lot worse than just my van in the median. When we have bad weather and you see all the cars and trucks that lost control and ended up down in the median, with the new cables these cars are going to go out of control and stay in the line of traffic.
Cables will cause more problems.
