C.R. will be lucky to have Poe help lead it

Working alongside Ann Poe for more than three years on issues of flood recovery has led me to strongly support her for City Council at-large.

In her work with Rebuild Iowa Office, I have witnessed her fight long and hard for the needs of Cedar Rapids as we continue to recover from the Flood of 2008. She has taken up the fight for homeowners, residential landlords and the business community as a whole at the state level.

It is that love of Cedar Rapids, the passion for our recovery and the willingness to fight for our community on both sides of the river that will contribute to her becoming a great City Council member.

We should all feel blessed that someone like Ann is willing to represent all of us on the City Council. It will take a lot of hard work to continue to move our city forward toward a more prosperous future and Ann has what it takes to get us there.
