C.R. police fiasco still about 2 neglected dogs
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 18, 2011 11:37 pm
Two dogs living in a small makeshift pen for more than 18 months, in standing water mixed with urine and feces in extreme Iowa elements, an officer said, and no one steps in and rescues them nor charges the owner Chad Ramey with neglect?
Police Officer Robyn Obadal, after attempting to get them assistance only to have nothing done as did concerned neighbors, releases them and is charged and convicted of trespassing.
So now can the rest of the story be finished?
Owner Chad Ramey will finally be charged with neglect and the dogs will be seized. Animal control will have heads roll as they did nothing to assist the dogs.
Police Chief Greg Graham will use some common sense, compassion and decency and give this woman her job back and expect more out of all his officers and animal control to take care of neglected animals.
Rescue a child, you're a hero; rescue an animal, you may lose your job.
If this had been taken care of as it should have been long ago, things never would have gone this far.
This whole situation disgusts me. To the owner of these poor dogs, give me a call, I will help give them a real life and please don't get any more pets.
Now, let's see how Magistrate Larry Woods in Fayette County comes out, he after being charged with neglecting/starving his horses.
